Deceptive Packaging

In my quest to find the best tasting butter, I’ve tried several of the “high end” brands. To me, the perfect butter has a distinctive, slightly salty taste.

Thinking I’d found it, I was willing to accept that a tub of holy grail butter costs more than the others, but opening the tub revealed:

Marketing greed had apparently inspired them to oversize the container to make consumers think they were getting more than they actually were.

In reality, this expensive butter is even more expensive than it appeared. Any company that goes to that length to mislead consumers has lost my business. And it appears that they may have lost more than mine, as my local grocery store no longer carries that brand.

No great loss, I’ll fallback to the venerable salted Kelly Gold…
